The team at Kaliba recently did a roofing and guttering project for us. In the lead up to the job they we’re open and honest about timing and the components of cost and the contract. After trusting Harley Smith and his team with an extensive renovation of the outside of our property including new fence, decking, bamboo screening, pergola roof, replacement windows and exterior painting (phew!), we decided to allow him inside to renovate our bathroom !

This involved a complete renovation and creation of a brand new bathroom literally from top to bottom. Harley completed and/or coordinated all activities including carpentry, plumbing, tiling, accessory fitting, electrical work and painting. He was a one-stop shop for all related activities and the specialists he brought in were all extremely professional, competent and friendly. The final result is a masterpiece and we are very happy with the outcome. Harley and his team did a large renovation of the ground floor of our house, including the Carport, kitchen, laundry and study. The design incorporated steel windows to make an atrium, and the melding of a very old home with the new area. The duration of the renovation was eight months. From day one, and during every step of the build, Harley communicated with exceptional professionalism. I found him to be honest and open and he kept me involved in every aspect of the build. He protected me from anything I didn’t need to be involved in such as negotiating with sub contractors and suppliers. Harley went out of his way to make the build run smoothly, and was on-site 6 or 7 days a week. The build site was cleaned every night. He stayed within the budgeted contract, and was fair and exceptionally well priced for any extra works I requested. His team of builders are hard working, kind and respectful, with an impeccable attention to detail. The installation of the engineered floors and special joinery on the stairs showcase their craftsmanship.

I would not hesitate to recommend Harley and his team to anyone considering a major house renovation.

From the first time we met with Harley, we found him to be knowledgeable, experienced, and very easy to communicate with. This was our first build project and Harley assisted us through the planning stage right through to the detailed finishes. We entrusted Harley and his Kaliba Building team to renovate our house. I had Kaliba Building come out to reconfigure my existing wetroom areas so that I could create a new laundry room. The work involved internal wall redistribution, external brickwork, window and door reconfiguration, plumbing, tiling, carpentry, electrics, plastering and concreting. Pretty much every trade. The guys were working in a small space but were highly professional and considerate of my personal space and even the fact that I worked from home. The job was done quickly and to a high standard, and the price quoted was reasonable. if anything came up that needed consideration, Harley was always available to discuss my options, quote any additional pricing (which turned out to be minimal) and then make sure it was seamlessly incorporated into the build. I'm very happy with the result and have already asked Harley to quote on other jobs.
